How do I clean the cover of my mattress?

The covers on Cocoon mattresses are spot-clean only and not water-resistant. To prolong the life of your mattress and keep it clean, we recommend using a water-resistant mattress protector to protect against liquid damage. Vacuuming is the only recommended cleaning method, and should be completed at least once a month to prevent dust and debris build-up on the surface of the mattress.

If your mattress has been exposed to liquid or has a stain, please take the following steps to clean the area:

  • Use a dry cloth to absorb as much liquid as possible, pushing down into the material. Once you've removed the excess moisture, let the mattress air dry (you can use a fan to blow air directly on the mattress to expedite the process).
  • To clean a stain, use a mild soap with cold or warm water and apply lightly, careful not to soak the mattress. Dry cleaning fluids may damage some of the inner materials. Afterwards, let the affected area dry completely before applying any bedding.
